Our Mission Statement:
Trenton Federal Credit Union’s mission is to improve our members lives by providing quality products and superior service, to improve our employee’s lives by providing a positive and stable work environment, and to improve the communities we live and work in.
Our History:
On February 9, 1953, Trenton Chrysler Employees Federal Credit Union received their approval of organization certificate allowing for the servicing of the primary field of membership consisting of three Chrysler plants. In 1960, the Chrysler Employees was dropped from the name leaving only Trenton Federal Credit Union.
In September of 1980 the charter of the credit union was changed to that of a community charter. Eight years later, the field of membership was expanded to all persons who reside in Trenton, Grosse Ile and Woodhaven, except for those persons eligible for primary membership in an occupation type credit union maintaining an office in Trenton.
In February of 1999, that exclusionary clause was removed extending membership eligibility to all those who live, work or worship in the communities of Trenton, Woodhaven and Grosse Ile. Today our membership has grown to include all those who live, work or worship in our fifteen communities.
